           Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department and the Rotary Club of Dade City present the 12th Annual Fort Dade Mountain Man Rendezvous at Withlacoochee River Park in Dade City. This incredible three-day event shows how people lived in the early 19th Century. See authentic Indian villages and the work of blacksmiths, candle makers and leatherworkers. Great food and family fun - do not miss this event! Withlacoochee River Park is located at12449 Withlacoochee Blvd in Dade City and the event runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on February 2nd through the 4th.  Admission is only $2.00 per adult or $5.00 per car and kids 12 and under are free.

Bart Allen of Land O’Lakes built this cabin by hand with his son James and can be seen at the 12th Annual Fort Dade Mountain Man Rendezvous at Withlacoochee River Park in Dade City this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  0431…Meeting new friends, eating great food and taking a step back in time can be fun and education too. Coming from near and far are Flo and Bert Atherton of Zephyrhills, a wood carving named Cry’s-a-Lot, created by Clint Hashagen of Berwick, PA, Alice Herrick of Rhineland, Wis., Sue and Rich Taylor of Zephyrhills and Janet Stein of New Port Richey.

 Directions to the Park:  Traveling on Hwy 301, entering Dade City, take the truck route (bypass), traveling South make a left on River Road.  Traveling North, make a right on River Road and follow “Park Event” signs to the Withlacoochee River Park.  The park is approximately 5 miles east of Dade City.
