The new suite includes five labor and delivery suites and six post-partum suites designed to feel more like home than a hospital. These new rooms feature all the comforts of home, such as beautiful faux hardwood floors, plantation shutters, a glider rocking chair, and a comfortable sleep chair for guests. The walls are painted a delicate mint hue with soft wall lighting. Flat panel televisions provide cable service and telephones are conveniently located at each bedside. Private baths include ceramic tiled showers with hand-held showerheads. Elegant pedestal sinks and beautiful lighting complete the bathroom décor. The pampering doesn’t stop with the beautiful facilities. Every mom is given a gift basket of essentials for her stay, including baby blankets, baby cloths, toys, trinkets, a robe and slippers for mom to wear during her stay and to take home. All of these little details are just part of the broader picture of making mothers comfortable during the delivery process.   Two mothers who attended the open house have previously delivered at Pasco Regional Medical Center and were pleased with the service and facilities, but also happy to see the steps that have been taken to provide an even more welcoming environment.

“During a tour of the facilities, one mother was surprised to learn of all the gifts she would receive, and even said to me, ‘I get to keep this?’ She was very pleased with all of the upgrades.” explained Marketing Coordinator Katie Bryant.  All four Baby Patch physicians – Doctors Shiela Bahn, Terri L. McEndree, John A. Ferlita and Michael Weiss - were on hand to meet with guests and answer their questions. Before leaving the open house, guests had the chance to win one of several door prizes. Everyone went home with a limited edition baby patch tote bag and product samples.
