Publix SuperMarkets donate big to United Way of Pasco County |

Susan
Arnett, President of the United Way of Pasco County, Inc., and
members of her staff visited all the Publix stores in Pasco County
to thank them for participating in the 2010 annual United Way Annual
Campaign. Store managers and employees were presented with a
recognition certificate. In all, 17 Publix stores in the county
were visited on Feb. 17. Publix is United Way's number one campaign donor through it employee-based payroll deduction program. The total of their effort to support the United Way and its agencies amounted to $791,000. The United Way of Pasco County’s mission is to advance the common good in our community by creating opportunities for a better life and addressing the underlying causes of problems thus creating long-lasting changes. |
Queens Butler at Publix
Click >>> Here 5284…The former Butler to the Queen of England and of the late Princess Diane, Paul Burrell, came to Land O’Lakes and specifically, to Publix Supermarket. Burrell, “the world’s most famous butler”, launched his new line of wines at Publix on Thursday, March 1st. Taking home an autographed bottle is Theresa Berthelsdorf, Land O’Lakes of Kaleidoscope Glassworks in Lutz, and with a copy of Burrell’s book on the Princess Diane, Publix employee Marlene Coward Scalies, and Burrell. Marlene, no stranger to fame, is related to the late noted actor/writer/composer Noel Coward, and was named after actress Marlena Detrick. The Groves welcomes Publix to the neighborhood
103 Publix officials Regional Director Jim Herring, retired Publix Executive Vincent E. Snider and current Groves resident, Corporate Media and Community Relations Manager Shannon Patten, District Manager Tana Keating and Tressie Coffey went all out to thank the residents of The Groves for welcoming them into their community. |
108 On Saturday September 16th a large crowd of close to 400 people assembled at the Groves in Land O’Lakes listened to Publix officials and to circulate around the room visiting booths representing all of the departments and sampling the food that will be available at the new Publix currently being constructed. |
124 Employees banded together to demonstrate the Publix style like Seafood Specialist Lil Stapleton from the Wesley Chapel store. Adele Cook, a volunteer and Groves resident fixes up a little seafood treat for Booth, a 4 ˝ yr old Lab and her companion Winnie Anderson. “The was trained by Kids and Canines in Tampa and he can do so many things for me including pulling my wheelchair and when I get up in the morning he goes and gets my shoes for me” says Winnie. |
