The Rotary Club of Wesley Chapel made Thanksgiving special for the needy in Central Pasco serving up hundreds of turkey dinners with all the trimmings at the Wesley Chapel Dairy Queen with the help Metropolitan Ministries and local businesses.…

Dan Byrne, owner of the Wesley Chapel Dairy Queen and host of the dinner and David Reid, chairman elect Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, serves up a turkey dinner to John Pettis (center) who is homeless and lives under an overpass. Pettis appreciated the dinner and the help he gets from the folks at Atonement Lutheran Church. …No Thanksgiving Day Dinner would be complete without pumpkin Pie served up by volunteers Debbie and Morgan Goodman of Land O’Lakes.

Henry Wilson Jr. was sworn in as a member of the County Commission by his minister with his wife and children at his side. Wilson, a Republican defeated Commissioner Michael Cox, the board's only Democrat. …Commissioner Pat Mulieri, left was sworn in Tuesday following het reelection and passed the chairman's gavel to Commissioner Ann Hildebrand. Henry Wilson Jr. was sworn in as the newest member of the County Commission with Commissioner Jack Mariano and Commissioner Ted Schrader, who was elected vice chairman.

Jeremy Baker of Wesley Chapel needed some tools when building his Bird Aviary at the Academy of the Farms for his Eagle Scout project in 2008 and Harvey’s Hardware came through. Now when Paul Harvey, right needs a little help, Jeremy is there, like at this years W.R. Case & Sons/ Harvey’s Hardware Expo. Custom Knife maker Tony Bose, with Charles Lupton, 9 of Land O’Lakes was there and one of his Custom Knifes sold for $800 and a portion of the proceed went to the John Wayne Cancer Fund. Symphony In Lights Kick Off

The Shops at Wiregrass held their Symphony in Lights Kick-Off Celebration to large crowd complete with over 250,000 LED lights choreographed to the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra conducted by Santa and brand new this year a light snow flurry and fireworks. Shows began nightly on the hour from 6-9pm starting November 20^th and will run thru December 31^st. This is one unbelievable experience with 248,000 feet of cable, 2,000 watts of sound and 10 tons of holiday décor. The synthetic ice rink will also be back on Piazza Ave by the restaurants with skating for a nominal fee, which includes skate rental, from 12pm to 9pm from Nov. 20^th to Jan. 2^nd.

The Shops at Wiregrass, located at State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Blvd, is a unique, pedestrian and pet friendly lifestyle village offering residents and visitors exceptional options in shopping, dining and entertainment in an environment that invites lingering, relaxing and socializing. The center offers approximately 100 retail establishments with convenient access to services for area residents.

SAC Cheerleading Competition

Wiregrass Ranch High School won the Varsity Cheerleading Competition All Girl Division.

Land O'Lakes High School won the Varsity Cheerleading Competition, Co-Ed Division.

Wesley Chapel came in second place in the Varsity Cheerleading Competition, Co-Ed Division.

Sunlake High School came in second place in the Varsity Cheerleading Competition, All Girl Division.

The Best of Pasco County 2010 SAC Cheerleading Competition was held at Hudson High School for all Varsity and Junior Varsity teams in Co-Ed and All Girl Divisions. All 13 Pasco County High School, Anclote High School, Fivay High School, Gulf High School, Hudson High School, Land O'Lakes High School, JW Mitchell High School, Pasco High School, Ridgewood High School, River Ridge High School, Sunlake High School, Wesley Chapel High School, Wiregrass Ranch High School and Zephyrhills High School participated in the action packed event.

Wiregrass Ranch High School won the Varsity Cheerleading competition All Girl Division. Sunlake High School came in second and Anclote High School came in third. Land O'Lakes High School won the Varsity Cheerleading competition Co-Ed Division. Wesley Chapel High School came in second and River Ridge High School came in third.

Sunlake High School won the Junior Varsity Cheerleading competition All Girl Division. Wiregrass Ranch High School came in second and JW Mitchell High School came in third. Wesley Chapel High School won the Junior Varsity Cheerleading competition Co-Ed Division.
